Our Story
Our proprietor, Humphrey, was inspired by his grandmother, Miss Kasalina Nattu, an uneducated but hardworking farmer who labored to educate her children and some of her grandchildren. Her favorite saying, “Ekalamu telimba,” loosely translated, education is the key to success. She believed that with education, anyone could break the yoke of poverty.
When he was admitted to university on government sponsorship, Kasalina told her grandson Humphrey that the only advice she had for him on his new journey was, “Sometimes you gotta play the fool.” This advice has helped Humprey even up to date.
Humphrey commissioned this project in honor of the great Miss Kasalina Nattu, who passed on the 1st of January 2020, at the age of 107 years.
